Here We Are In Marvelous Massachusetts!!!!

Hello All!

Well it is our final week.......we are on the New York/Massachusetts border tonight in Pittsfield. We certainly saw a different side of New York that we never knew. There are so many rivers and bridges...many varieties of trees...amazing older homes, narrow roads and modern Thruways (freeways that you pay to drive on and have very few entrances and exits so you have to know where you are going). We spent the weekend outside of Syracuse, NY in the small community of Vernon and then on the edge of the Adirondack Mountains in Herkimer. This is hill country...bicycling was difficult as the hills were long....and many. Stan and Roy maybe averaged 9mph. Massachusetts is looking similar! This could be a tough finish!

The Adirondacks were one place I would like to see. Those and to the south , the Blue ridge MTS, and great smokey MYs. Tell Stan that I may take up fishing with him. I have not been in the National forest: Hurricane Deck, Sisquock river, Manzana School house, Zaca lake etc. I guess you hike in. Also , I can sit in the sand at Guadalupe beach. Please be careful these last few riding days. dah

Hi Helen and Stan

We are enjoying Abbie (Adrienne's daughter) so much. She is walking now and beginning to get in to more mischief. Love being grand parents.

You certainly have had a wonderful trip. Enjoyed seeing your pictures and reading your blog. Let us know if we can drive somewhere to meet you on your way back. We are very flexible on time so let us know. Peace be with you.

Love, Chris and Larry
